winter outside jungle inside

today is a beautiful day .we had a rare heavy snowstorm yesterday and we recieved a foot of snow!today the sun is out shining and everything is so bright and white and glittery.inside though my jungle grows daily.i have about 70 plants in the house,20 are orchids,18 are african violets.all the violets are in bloom today and i have 4 orchids that are getting ready to bloom any day now.my hawaiian ti plant has a foot long white flower stalk and the palm tree will be blooming soon.but you know what is really blooming well right now?we just had our 8th grandchild born a week ago today,it's a boy .all our grandchildren are growing like precious flowers therefore they belong in my flower jungle.will post pics as soon as i figure out how to post them!

The orchid guy gave me this beautiful orchid and said that it was hard to bloom and he said, "Let's see what you can do with it." Two years later it bloomed for me. This is what it looks like.
